Driving from Hwy #1 east: Take Exit 40 A - Brunette Ave; Bear Left onto Columbia St; Left on Begbie St; Cross tracks, Follow around onto Quayside Dr. From Hwy #1 west: take Exit 33 Kensington; Left on Canada Way, becomes 8 St; Left on Columbia St; Follow as above. Parking meters or on street & pay parking lot at hotel.
All scheduled walks start from the parking lot at Queens Park 3rd Ave and 1st St.
Description
There are three routes:
One walk includes historic New Westminster downtown (former capital of BC), Queen's Park, passing City Hall, Cenotaph & Fraser River waterfront with many heritage homes & fantastic views.
Second walk takes in Piers Park on Fraser River waterfront, Queen’s Park; many heritage homes.
The third route starts in Queens Park, takes in several parks & a ravine.
Three 5km routes also available. Washrooms at start point and in Queen's Park.
